how do i record streaming music to mp3, using mac?

hi,

i want to record my cassettes into mp3 files and then load them into itunes and then ipod. my problem is that i am having trouble finding software to convert my cassettes to mp3.

i currently have a mac g5, osx, using audion 3 software. the problem with audion is that i appear to be unable to transfer the mp3 files into itunes. anyone know why?

also, my software just stopped recording, half way through a cassette. i can't figure out why this happened.

i will appreciate any leads. ithought this would be a simple process.
