I really wanted to be able to play my SNES roms on my PS2, so i burned SNES Station with my roms onto one of these black Memorex, then another, then another. When I pressed X (tried square for special boot) i got a rythmic grinding noise on and off. I figured maybe I either burned it wrong (followed official instructions exactly)or maybe I needed to use cdloader in between. Nope, CDLoader made the same noises when I put it in. It must have something to do with these Black Memorex. Has anyone else experienced any similar problems?
No, Sly. I don't have any other kind of CD-R's and won't really have the money for some until the end of the month. I tried a Memorex CD-RW and got a whole different grinding noise. I heard you can't use CD-RW's for backup PS2 games anyways but I figured it couldn't hurt to try. Maybe I'll bum a couple CD-R's of a different kind tommorrow and get back to you.
Okay, I tried Maxell CD-R Pro and it worked great. Burned CDLoader and Pgen w/Roms. Some of the Roms have problems probably due to faulty programming. The sound has some little static issues too but not due to the CD-R's. Hoorah !!
