you can go here to find MIDI files of songs you like and upload them to your phone. http://www.musicrobot.com/
Of course you will have to install USB modem drivers and mobile phone tools in order to upload the files. Or you can take MP3 files and cut out 10-15sec snippits to use as ringtones.
If it's stupid but works, it isn't stupid.

That's a neat site. But if internet access isn't part of your plan, Cingular will still charge you for the download even if the site doesn't. It's kinda like ATMs. I can use the ATM at Publix and Publix does not charge me, however, my own bank will deduct 75cents.
So for anyone who pays extra for internet time as part of their normal monthly fee, this is a VERY good site.
EDIT: Actually every ringtone I selected it said that a $1.99 would be charged to my wireless bill. :-(

if you don't want to edit downloaded tracks use your phones internet.
go on the WAP
go to SEARCH
type in FREE RINGTONES
ignore all the options it gives you and find where it says SEARCH AGIAN ON MOBILE WEB (should be at the bottom).
then nthe options it gives you store as bookmark marks
If you can't be bothered you can type in "ace games" into the search bar.
hope this helps

most sites that are supposedly free for ringtones i find are usually crap.
also a lot that say its ony XXX for your tone usually have some hidden cost.
i can honestly say that i've used this site for a long while now....
http://www.mobelee.com/
you have to ring for the password and it costs just £1.00.
once you do you get given the password over the phone.
there are no hidden charges and once you have access, you have access to download every single tune/logo etc on his site.
normally i download everything i want and then leave it 3 months b4 i ring again. i usually spend about £4 a year which is relatively cheap.

@filip up top. Man now that is what I am talking about. I only want free ring tones of real artist and real music or polytonic and monophonic ring tones of real music. Any other sites or programs where you can use snippits of your own mp3's and install them into your cellphone via usb transfer or flash card for free? Also any sites where you can download images for free and then transfer them on to your cellphone?
