Hi all, I'm new to this forum but not new to CD/DVD technology. I have one "burning" question though ... ... is it possible to increase the burning speed of Nero Vision Express (3) when writing to disk?
I normally use Shrink and Nero Express 6 for regular DVD back ups, but I wanted to design some "menus" for special purposes. NVE is ok for the menu authoring but takes about an hour and a half to burn a movie.

I'm sure the burning won't take the time, I think it is the recoding. You can not just rip the moviefiles with VisionExpress and only add the menus. It recodes the whole thing.

My old machine (1Ghz, 512MB) used 6-7 hours for recoding, the new (3000+, 1024MB) does it in half an hour. The disk burning time is about the same.
