Ok i am new to rippin dvds so please dont yell at me. When i am rippin the vob files i get a drive wont authentacate<---spelling. Any advice is good

Which software are you using? Some rippers require you to authenticate the drive by starting a DVD playback software (eg. PowerDVD), playing the movie, hitting pause, and then ripping the disc.

You might want to give DVD Decrypter:
