Burning dvd rw for Ps1

When I burn my wild arms 2 ISO for ps1 on dvd rw as data it wont play on my ps2, I tested out my other games for ps1 and they work but when I use my cd I burned it says disc read error

I cant edit my message, so anyways when I got my Final Fantasy 11 hardrive, for my ps2, cant I use that hardrive for the discs I burn, ive read most of the tutorials for the burning but I still dont understand

you say you burnt your ps1 game to dvd rw disc, don't know if it's a typo but ps1 games are cd based not dvd based so needs it to be burnt to cdr not dvdr, also alot of ps2's have problems reading rw media would recomend that you stick to just r media
