Problem with chapter's ripped from several DVD's

here's my scenario - I use DVD SHRINK to rip a single chapter from a DVD, I then MPEG2VCR to create an MPEG file from that 'ripped' chapter. Then I use TMPGENC to create the menu with all my ripped chapters together.

My problem is that the audio seems to be running slightly behind the video - where do you think the time lag is being added and how would you recommend fixing it ?
