Hi! I have Suikoden 3 for ps2, but it's very scratchy (cut-scenes hang)... Now I wonder if it's legal to download the game? If so, how do you copy downloaded Ps2 games (if you got the original of course) to a dvd?

I would think that as long as you own the original game, no it's not illegal. You'd have to find a ROM of it on the web somewhere. The just use a program like Nero or Alcohol 120 to burn it. Keep in mind you have to have a modded or chipped PS2 to play backups.

BTW I have Suik3, good game! :)
I feel your pain too, I have a few Final Fantasy games that I want to backup but can't because they won't rip all the way. FF5 and FF7 disc 2. Driving me batty. :S

Yah, you would probably get an iso file. Then you would burn it normally. However, you can never tell what you'll get when you're downloading them.

Or even better yet, (and this would likely be the ONLY time I would advocate doing this) see if your local rental store has the game and rent it. Then you can rip it. Since you already own the original, you aren't infringing upon any copyrights.

Maybe find it at a used game store, buy it, rip, then return it?
