What the?!?! My friend just told me he had some backups, like Maximo, Iss 2, Nba Street and so on, that he burned on a cd-r... Could this be true??? You cant burn Ps2 games on cd-r's right?? It must be dvd-r's??

Well some of the older games used to be cd-based, so those would need to go on cd-r's. Also, some dvdrips are made to be on cd-r's as well.

IT's not just a matter of "older" games, there are quite a few games that are CD-games (and therefore can be backed up to CD-R media). Some new titles are CD-R like Airborne Troops: Countdown to D-day, and Street Fighter EX3.

To find out if a game is CD or DVD, just look on the back of the case. CD games have the "Compact Disc" logo while DVD games have the "DVD" logo.

Here's a list of all the CD-games I can think of:

Freekstyle
Wakeboarding Unleashed
Unreal Tournament
Way of the Samurai
Maximo: Ghosts to Glory
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy
Bloody Roar 3
Airborne Troops: Countdown to D-day
