Hi, I have ordered a couple games from a backup site and they are burnt on maxell discs. Some of them work but but others dont. Im using a swap magic on a versoin 4 ps2. I tried them on my buddies ps2 and he has a version 7 ps2 and they didnt work. I know that some games need a cd loader or something but am not familiar with that. I also ordered a couple dvd games that work fine but Killzone doesnt work. Not on mine or my friends or my brothers. Weird. SO.... if anyone knows a fix that would be gratly apprecitated. My swap magic version is 3.2 for the cd one and 2.0 for the dvd one. Thanks

Here is a little extra post from a junior member:

"I have both swap magic sets (old and new 3.3) and the Breaker Pro. Breaker Pro plays PS1 games pretty good. When the Pro is used with Swap Magic CD, it allows you to play the larger sized PS2 games without the common effects of skipping frames, missing music and etc. that plague the larger PS2 games.

To answer your question, I have Breaker Pro and nothing else. My PS1 games play fine with it (no missing music, etc.) and so does my PS2 CD games.
The Breaker Pro is a 100-minute CD - there is no game that huge. . (we can only buy at max 80 minute CDs). It's the biggest CD/game you can get."

Sorry, those hyperlinks didn't work!!! Here are what people have said about ps1 games on an umodded ps2 using swap magic

1)"you have to buy breaker pro to play backup ps1 games"
2)"swap magic cant boot ps1 backups, you need breaker pro or a modchip to do it."

So pretty much I'm thinkin you need breaker pro, and gameshark may work but would not rely on that seeing as I only saw one person on this whole forum site saying it would.
