If this is in the wrong thread, Im sorry???

I need to know how to join two avi files (they similiar)
It is a movie split into two parts..

There is a guide called "VirtualDub: Joining AVI files", try that.

Hi there. I am trying to join 2 .AVI files. I keep getting an error everytime I try to load one of the files in to the program. The error says
"Cannot locate decompressor for format "XVID" (UNKNOWN)"

What does this mean? I tried it with a few other AVI movies I have also.....and I get this same error so I know its not just the movie thast the problem.

I think you're missing the correct codec. Download a free program here at afterdawn called GSpot (or g-spot) to find out which codec you need.
