.avi file length (in minutes) balloons using TMPGEnc?

Can anyone tell me why my 25 minute/220MB .avi (DivX) file causes TMPGEnc to think that it is 50+ minutes in length? I'm trying to convert it to MPEG2 for a SVCD and at present it won't even fit on one disk?!

What's going on here?

When you use Tmpgenc, use the wizard and when you get to an option that says "Source Range" click the checkbox beside it and when the new dialog opens up, click the move to start frame and click "set start frame" and then click move to end frame and then click "set as end frame". That should fix the problem well it does for me!

Thanks! I'll try it. I was thinking yesterday that I didn't actually try encoding the file.. I just got the warning that it was too long and stopped in my tracks.
