i want to simply copy a certain episode of dvd to dvd-r,so i ripped using smartripper the first episode,which i can play but has no audio,i tried using ifoedit to choose english but it still has no audio.
is there a way of doing this without using dvd2avi and encoding using tmpgenc then converting back to vob, i just want a simple copy of the original vobs to disk,but all episodes are too big to fit on one dvd-r.
Sounds like you're trying to get an episode of a dvd that contains many episodes of a certain show, like sex in the city. Is this the correct assumption? I do know it's possible, but I've never done it myself. Keep looking in the threads. I have seen it in here before. You can also try Dooms website too.
yep thats exactly right,i have manged to get language working but its in german as its the dvd first language,i tried using ifoedit to change it to english but it still plays in german even though i used the right settings in dvd2avi as the english language is still there if i extract it using dvd2avi,in smartripper i also chose english audio but not german but they are both there,so i wonder how to change audio to english?
What region number is your DVD. It seems strange that when you extract just english that you get german. Have you tried selecting german to see if you get english? Region 1 english is usually the 0x80. If your region code is different, maybe it defaults the 0x80 to german.
its region 2,in smart ripper i choose audio english,and choose track 2 in dvd2avi and it extracts english audio,but if i play the actual vobs it defaults to german,i'm not sure how i can edit so as to enable it to default to english?german is the first audio language on dvd,english second.
