i can burn regular cds by the pounds, but when i try to do a data,mp3,or wma cd it comes up as protected file when i play it back. this is driving me crazy, i am fully stocked now on coasters for drinks with all these useless cds. someone please help.

i gather you would be using windows media for playback? if so try winamp or something, otherwise i dont know what the problem would be if its something else.
