Any known issues with Maxtor Drive and Liteon 812s?

Any known issues with Maxtor Drive and Liteon 812s?

Recently, I've tried to burn a data dvd (simple file back / storage)from my Maxtor (secondary master) and it kept freezing up my pc in nero.

So, then I tried to burn a movie iso (stored on the same drive) using decryptor. Also locked up my pc.

Then I tried burning a data dvd from another drive (Western Digital / primary slave) burned the dvd fine. Then I copied the movie to that drive and attemped to burn it. Burned fine. Then attempted to burn a audio cd from the seondary master. Burned it just fine.

So my question is, Are there any known issues with Liteon 812s and Maxtor when they are both on the same channel. Any help would be much appriciated.
