BURNING DVD'S

I am in the process of transferring, from a video camera, home movies onto DVD+R disc using a Sony DVD recorder (RDR-GX300). They are burning fine and I am able to play them on various DVD players including my CPU. Using Roxio Media Creator7, I am trying to burn exact copies without success. My DVD burner is a Sony DRU710A. Does anyone have any help they can give me? They appear to be burning but will not play even on my computer. I am operating on XP. When trying to copy, I always get thrown into a section of the Roxio program entitled DVD builder. I don't want to build a DVD...just an exact copy. Thank you so much. Nancie
