NEW DELL NEC ND-1100A 4X DVD+R DVD+RW DRIVE

Anyone has this drive??????
This drive should burn both DVD-R and DVD+R at 4X...I got this from Dell...but it only supports DVD+R/RW, not DVD-R/RW.

Any clues or anything that I can do to make it support both media?????????

Is there any firmware that I can download to do it?

If this drive supports both at 4X, it will be better than the Sony one.

Updated Sony can burn 4x with both media.

Hi there is no download for it to do both dvd+r & dvd-r you need the nec 1300a which does both. The nec1100a will read both but not burn both. You can get this for about £80

I've got the same drive, as Roy1 states, it only burns + media.
