tried this on ilo dvdro4.with tv,dvd recorder,and dvd player connected properly and powered on,open dvd player tray and place dvd you want to copy in.do not close tray leave open.put blank dvd into dvd recorder and close wait a few seconds to scan,when ready press source button on remote of recorder until you come to dvd player source,press record wait 2 seconds and pause.now close tray in dvd player and go to start of movie press play then pause,wait 5 seconds then press play then press pause on dvd recorder to start recording ,you must press pause on recorder to start recording not play .no firmware or hardware of any kind used.
