Hey all

Ok, this is my first attempt at dvd9 burning which failed miserably.
The image is fine and checks out 100%, using isobuster I can see the correct dvd format has been used, however, whenever I try and burn the disk no dvd player will read it NOR the pc.

All you get on the disk when exploring it is '0bytes free' '0bytes available', and it is completely blank.
The dvd players and pc error out with the message 'unsupported format'.

I use Verb dvd9 disks at burnt at 1x.

Setup:

Pioneer 108 (1.04)

Burning app: Nero 6 Ultra Edition

Do I need to update my hardware in order to burn dvd9 images correctly perhaps?

Many thanks in advance

TB

Does that mean that Nero won't burn DVD9???

Many thanks in advance.

Have you tried checking "verify written data" in Nero when you're burning your project?

I would use DVD Decrypter, simple and powerful.

Definetly check your players media format supporting features 1st. DVD Decryptor is excellent for handling these issues but it won't help if the standalone player your using is not design to read DL Technology Media. I suggest Sony's Stand alone DVD-RW/+R Player. Model DVP-NS575P , runs around 79.99 to $100. Even though its not mentioned in their specs, it support its it and has a built in navigational system to locate proper breaks that other machines can't! Yes including the panasonic Progressive scan DVD-RP62 model. The only way it can read it is by modifying the media first with decryptor properly and then the player will recognize all information. The Sony doesn't care, It will find it for you.
