Changing the default audio stream that starts on play?

Don't know if this would be considered a newbie question or not since I'm not a newbie to making DVD-R's (3 years now.) But, I'm a newbie when it comes to trying to changing the audio track as I've never gotten it working with the 1 example I've seen. :D


I want to change the audio stream that starts when the main movie plays from the default choice. I don't want to remove any of the audio streams, so, deleting them is out of the question. Because many times, you delete a stream when you have multiple ones and all the Audio menu selections are now pointing to different streams. I don't want to change the Audio Stream Status numbers around because, though that would work, it messes up the audio menu options.


Surely, there must be something you can add to the IFO's or change in them to select a different stream. I'm fully versed in finding the IFO number, the PGC number, etc. But, the one example I've seen of adding new PreCommands hasn't worked on 10 different test DVD's I tried. Tried searching both the forum search and on Google, but, my search terms "IFO audio change default" haven't turned up anything useful beyond the one example I found that hasn't worked.
