What card should i buy. I am willing to spend up to $230. Should i get something with 256 or 128. Is ddr enough or should i go with gddr. I need some help for getting the best bang for the buck. Thanks for the help.

mostly gaming. I have a geforce 3 ti-200 that i bought a few years ago. I need something that will keep up with the newer games.

if your lookin for a high powered videocard for games about $230 go for the 6600 gt. It's one bad mother. I hear it overclocks well also.

He's right. I'm an ati fan but the new nvidias are impressive. They also use shader model 3.0 which is better for Doom3 and newer games that will come out. I'm still holding out because of Ati not using all of the new technology. I believe nvidia also has gddr3 and ati uses ddr2.

NVIDEA company has done a good job creating GEFORCE 2...geforce 4 sucks..i had so much problems with it...but if u are planning on playing game....gfet GEFORCE 2...if not get GEFORCE 3 or 4...if u got ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON 3 get an ATI wideo card...otherwise if u don't u willl have a choppy runnning game...and no my pc is not slow...so consider and think about what i said.

My mate has a Gainward 6800SE Riva-tuned to open all 16 pixel pipelines. Doom3 & Half life look simply awesome.
