PS2 Rips not loading w/ swap 3.3

I backed up a copy of my I-Ninja, and it plays flawlessly as dvd. But then I obtained a rip on CD-r and i thought it would give me a chance to use my other swap magic cd. I burned it using alcohol and 4x and it says invalid ps2 disk. I've tried like 5 other rips and the pgen disk that do the same. Are there guidlines to the burning of the CD-r's? besides the ISO 2 and mode 2/xa, ISO 6990 and finalizing of the cd. Im also wondering if this could be a TOC issue. Can Swap magic really only load games under a certain Size? Thanks in advance for the help, as this is my first post.
