Viper and Action Replay

Basically I just wanted to know if there was any possible way of booting a backup with action replay (and the viper chip installed).

I know just doing it normally, the action replay will not read the backup, so I thought maybe if I apply a shortcut to the X button, so that when I press it, it will go straight to the cobra bios screen.

By doing this if I thought that if boot a retail game from the action replay while holding X, it might go back to the bios screen, but instead it turns a funny colour and just doesnt play.

I dont know if the codes will work if you went back to the bios screen, but I thought it was worth a try. Anyways if anyone can come up with a fix or work-a-round for this, it would be greatly apprieciated.
