my cd burner is acting funny when i burn a disk it leaves a ring on the bottem of it about a inch from the
center of the disk as if the laser is sticking in that spot and not moving outward i tried using nero 6.6.0.6
and xp's software they do the same. When i use record now it gives me am error message of "no copatible recordable or rewritable
device could be found on your system would you like to check for updates" when i check for updates none found
i tried updating my drivers uninstalling and reinstalling my drivers and doing the same with my software i upgraded my firmware and bios i also
tried using two types of media hp and sony both did the same. Like one out of ten disks burn properly
when i burn an audio disk the first three songs will play and show the rest of the tracks but they dont play
when i burn a data disk and put it in my computer it says the correct size of the files shows me all the files
i just cant open them. any help would be great. thanks

Your burner might be on its way out. Do you have another burner that you can try?
