DVD ROM too fast.

okay this might sound like a dum question but i just bought a new DVD-R that read DVD at 16x. when burning a disk unto my harddrive using DVD Shrink it only takes 13 minutes or less. is this right? cuz im waiting for my DVD-R to come so i can Burn the movies onto it to see myself if the fast reading is loosing my movie quality. my old DVD-R took 43-55minutes.
