Hello all,

I seem to have a very frustrating problem at the moment and need some expert advice.

I have d/l a film from the net but need to split the file into 2.
I'm ok with that....the problem im having is I cant manage to get virtaul dub to recognise and audio codecs that I am installing. Ive tried installing lame mp3 codec and other sorts too but its just no good, every time i try to select the compression i want to use there is nothing in the list only the words

<no compression (PCM)>

I have had this program working before with audio codecs but had to uninstall the various codecs.

Here is the file info

Video:

640 x 272, 24 Bits, 102876 Frames, 23.976 Frames/Sec, 166 KB/Sec, DIVXMPG4 V3

Audio:

MPEG Layer-3,157 kBit/s, 48,000 Hz, Stereo

Ithink this file is encoded in VBR and comes up with some error when I open it with virtual dub. Could someone give me instructions on how to solve the audio sync when i split the file.

Apologys for the lenth of this question but its driving me NUTS!
