I thought it was just my connection... as I can't get in either. It's probably just temporarily down for the moment.

I havnt been able to get on there either, but on a good note I found www.bit-ance.net which seems to get all the releases ages before elite, and I allways max out my download speed :D

Whoa! I didn't say I knew anything. I just ask a Question. LOL. If it is a hack, it's a pretty convincing one to a dummy like me. I remember well the MPAA notice at NOVA and that wasn't a hack was it.
As I said, time will tell. I hope it's a farce. Also, how would Homeland Security figure into the equation, US Customs I can understand. I guess us P2P users are terrorist and we warrant their time to investigate our activities. LOL

dhs, I see has a department devoted to cyber-terrorism. How would that relate to ET. I should think this action demonstrats an abuse of power granted to dhs by the US goverment and is by no means related to catching terrorist. Lucas made back 150 million bucks already on SW3 and he's crying that he could have doubled that if it were not p2p sites.
in another 5 years the MPAA and RIAA will be running the goverment if not already. But then what do I know, I'm just a dummy.

I just re-did a trace to the DHS' actual IP, it is not the same..:)
Which means that ET has been DNS hacked..and not the FBI etc.! :
It is resolving to a server owned by the sdsc.edu - the San Diego Supercomputer Center at UC San Diego..

one thing i noticed that even though that message was on the screen saying it had been shut down, i was still downloading a program i started in the morninbg now surely if uit had been shut down as it said then i would not of been able to do that??
