I have gotten a iMac G3 from a friend and it doesnt have a DVD drive in there. Does anyone know a good website I can purchase one from? (i know about google but im really not sure what to look for)

find out if it uses ide or scsi drives 1st. ide uses a 40pin connector & scsi usualy uses a 50pin connector

check your user manual or open the computer case to look at the connectors on the motherboard or data cable. is there space to put in a rom drive & why not get a cd/dvd burner instead??

Thats is what I am meaning. I cd/dvd drive to replace just the cd drive.

but i'm saying get a dvd burner if computer up to specs that will burn cds & dvds but also read cds & dvds
