Heres a real weird one! I wanted to edit a normal tv recording to cut out the adverts etc , so I decided to put the dvd disc recorded in my phillips dvdr70 through any dvd and clone dvd2 just in case to remove any macrovison put on by the dvd recorder , all was ok I placed the resultant disc once copied by the pc into my standalone alba dvd player and plugged the player into the phillips to attemp to edit the disc ang remove adverts, as soon as i hit record copy prohibit showed no recording! so back to the pc i went and tried using decrypter and dvd shrink , same result copy protected despite shrink and dvd decrypter saying all encryption was gone! not daunted I then connected my alba into my other dvd recorder a pioneer PERFECT no copyright prohibit, any ideas as to why a normal home done tv recording should still retain any copy signal prevention and bypass all the software I tried yet copy perfectly with a different recorder
