Is there such a mod device for the PS2 v3 that requires no soldering? If so where can I get it, how much, opinion of it. I heard that Matrix Infinity was a good buy but I would like to take the easy route and plus I dont want to screw up my PS2. I hear a lot that some chips can cause lens damage, due to unnecessary current to the lens.

there is a no solder chip, but it sucks and you still require a boot disc. If you don't to solder, get a fliptop and swap magic.
