OK, it's not necessarily trash but the picture is. I purchashed one before Christmas at Best Buy and I know the Customer Support number by heart. That is bad. Tonight, it goes back to Philips in Louisville for hopefully a fix or new item. The picture is poorer than my older DVD from 5 years ago! I get waves and a when watching letterbox, the black bars are broken up into two lighter blacks. Really wierd. My connection is to a Sony Trinitron Wega and I am using S-video but I really do believe it is the product. Anyone else have issues like this?
