I just got some Verbatim DVD+Rs online from eBay. I have been using Fujifilm for my DVD needs and not have had any problems. I won an auction for Fujifilm, but this (explitive) sent me Verbatim. I was wondering how good of a brand is it compared to other DVD+Rs.

They are OK if they are Verbatim Datalife--There is a program called DVD Identifier available right here--totally free and tells you manufacturer of the DVD's--Generally speaking, "Made in Japan" are excellent--I have used Verbatim DataLife and am happy with them--check out the DVD Media forum right here--

verbatim has quite a few different manufacturers. In their plus format,I have used mcc-002,mcc-003,and ricohjpn-01.All are pretty good. Reports of cmc-magnetics are out there,be cautious on them.The verbatim media life plus is a lot better than the media life.

That's the bad thing about media, different manufacturers for the same brand name.
