I just read the other thread about GameCube game theories and I came up with an idea.

It's wicked-hard to even modify your GC so that you can hook it up to your PC and copy games, right? And it's wick-hard/impossible to get the burned copies to work without the PC assistance.

Now I'm really just a newb, but I think this theory might have some merit:

When you use a Viper chip, it uses the GC's out-in laser and transfers it to you PC, which has an in-out laser burner, right? So by doing that you've created the problem of when you burn the information, it is reversed when you actually need it... for lack of a better term; re-reversed.

But what if you were to take the GC disc, and put it in your PC's CD-ROM/DVD drive, and use a program similar to a DVD ripping program to copy the information exactly as it is laid out on the disc, that way when you go to burn it, it will put the information back on your blank miniDVD in the order it's suppose to go in.

Would it be possible to use a DVD ripper program or something like it to just break the encryptions and copy the information as it appears on the GC disc? Instead of going through all this mod chip mess and trying to manually reverse the code?
