Far Cry Video Probs

I Just purchased Far Cry and it is having problems with the environment. some patches on the ground are black and when I move around sometimes they will fill in with the correct texture.
I keep trying to change the Environment setting to "High" but it keeps going back to custom.

PC Specs
Athlon 3200 64-bit
1GB Ram
Leadtek Geforce 6800 PCI-E 256MB DDR

what directx version are you using. have you checked game site for updates/patches & faq??

Yesterday I downloaded the latest patch 1.3 and 1.3.1 and it works GREAT!!!!!! This game is running awesome with everything maxed at Verry High Settings. Thank you for your help.
