been burning for bout 2 years now have over 100 movies backed up on maxwell 4x dvdrs

burner is hp dvd300i 4x burner

havent burnt in a while now when i try they burn it says burn completed sucesfully

but when looking at the back of the dvd you see burn line like a vynal record and it only plays for 20 min

tryed sony maxwell memorex the sony is the only one that worked but it was a dvdrw

What exactly is this "burn line"? I've seen discolored lines in burned discs that repeated and they were always in the same spot and that was caused by a hair on the lens, maybe try cleaning your burner with a can of compressed air?
