OK let me explain, I installed my viper and found that full size TDK-R worked great,but hey i have to leave the lid off! So ive done some searching and tried laser tweaking for small media. MY laser is set @ 280ohms and I have found 8cm media that works with no tweaks.
I understand even with or without tweaking your laser it may not work for you, but at least you can save money by buying single media and setting laser as such to see if it works or not.

280ohms using Laser DVD-R 1-2X
(actually nero burns it at 4x!)
Laser discs are a black box with pink edges.

Media that didnt work for me even after tweaking,a green dvd-r disc called UL-Tran and RiMedia.
