can gameshark v4 be used as a boot disc?

can gameshark v4 be used as a boot disc? i have a modchip(sbox) installed, but i ever used a GS v4. i used to use GS v2 but the disc broke. what is the method to boot with a GS v4?

I think v2 was the last gs that could be used as a boot disc. If you have a chip though it shouldn't matter since you shouldn't need a boot disc unless it's a no solder chip. I use a flip top and swap magic and I can use my v4 GS. For kicks I tried booting with just the GS and it didn't work.

never heard of it...

if it requires swapping, GS2 Version 4 will not work

you will either need DVD Region X, GS2 Version 2 or lower, or the Swap Magic set

this is only if your modhcip requires swapping.

if it doesnt, then you are fine

sbox is an old modchip. swap magic can be used as a boot disc? with one should i used, cd version or the dvd version?

so you do have the swap magic set...

you can use either one, the CD or DVD depending on which type of game you are trying to play

if the PS2 game is CD, then use the CD version

if the PS2 game is DVD, then use the DVD Version
