I am attempting to burn Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

I ripped the DVD and there are a ton of behind the scenes and trailers.

The main movie VOB files are on the VTS_01_*.vob files...the extra stuff I would like to get rid of is on the VTS_03_*.vob , VTS_04_*.vob , VTS_05_*.vob , and VTS_06_*.vob files.

How would one go about getting rid of an ENTIRE vob file? Can I just delete it from the dir. and Get VTS Sectors to adjust the IOF files?

Can I just delete these VOB files..

You sure can. Delete all the extras you want. Always, the last thing you do before burning is to get new vts sectors. Always, always, always. Your movie won't play on a standalone dvd player without doing this. Now your menu won't play the extras on the menu screen, you can do what I do if you want. My movies start without seeing the menu. It's very easy to do. All you need is the main movie files in a separate folder with no ifo's or bup's. Open ifoedit and press create new ifo's. Select the first vob and have the new ifo's placed in the same folder. When done ifoedit gives you the video_ts.ifo & bup, plus the vts_01_0.ifo&bup that you need. Get new vts sectors on these and burn. It has worked for me every time, no coasters, no fail, nothing. Just no menus, that's all.

Framerman,

Thanks for the tip.

Question for you about creating the IFO in IFOEDIT....:

When I press on "Create IFOs"....I get a prompt for the VTS_01_0.IFO PGC Options.....do I leave this at default? It is default at "Create 1 PGC only."

And also for the VTS_01_0.IFO Chapter options...It is default at "Create chapter for each Cell."

Do I need to choose something else or leave these settings at default?

Please advise.

Thank you.

I just leave the top buttons checked. To be quite honest, I really don't know what they do.

You can look into ifoedit at these websites:

Just what I need! To really understand all (or maybe most of it) of ifoedit's function without guessing what they are for. hehehe... Thanks!
