Hey guys. Thanks for any help in advance. After browsing this and many other forums over the past couple days, I have settled on a few command line parameters I'd like to try.

Basically, I have a fairly large CD collection, that takes up way too much room at CBR 192 (ripped in iTunes).

I tried using EAC + LAME for a while when I was re-ripping my CD collection, but file sizes were still a bit too large (Can't remember the command line parameters). Basically, the file sizes were b/w 192 and 160.

I was perfectly happy with CBR 192 quality, so going higher than that is not very important to me, but I really need file sizes to be in the 160 kbps range.

So I tried "--alt-preset standard -Y", and the file sizes were still too large.

Next, I was going to try "--alt-preset 160", and see how that turned out, but I noticed that when the LAME window popped up when EAC was finished with a song, it had a message saying that 192 bitrate was being used. After everything was done, I checked the file sizes, and they were identical to CBR 192 file sizes.

Does anyone know where I went wrong???
