I was unaware that my PS2 is not capable of playing PAL dvds (yes, i am a noob). Looking at a few other discs that displayed this message, they are all PAL dvds.
Is there anything I can do to make these dvds playable on my PS2?
For what it's worth, my dvds start off as AVI, then I basically follow Afterdawn's guide for converting them to dvd-r.

After loading an AVI to Tmpgeng and then using the "DVD NTSC" template (as described above), it produces an mpg. My question is what do I do with this mpg?
As I stated above, my ultimate goal is to produce a dvdr, and have looked for a guide to help me with this, but haven't found one.
Can someone please tell me how to create VOB files out of this mpg, or point me to a guide which covers this.
