Hello, I am buring a DVD-9 to two DVD-5 discs and on the second disc I have it so it starts playing the movie right away and avoids going through the menu. But when it start to play the audio track is dolby digital 5.1. Is there a way with ifoedit (or anything else) to make it so the audio track that initially starts is DTS. (ohh it does have DTS encoding on the movie so thats not the issue).

Thanks

If you don't want both audio's, you can strip the 5.1 in ifoedit and the player will default to the first audio file it comes to, in your case the dts. I believe if you have both on the disc, it will default to the 5.1 until you change it from your remote.

I still want both audio files on the disc. I was wondering if there was a way to make it default to DTS instead of 5.1?

I'm not sure, I don't know audio that much. But check out Doom's website. They have a forum specifically for audio. I wish afterdawn did too. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I found out how to do it by reading the forums on Doom and I got it to work.

What you need to do is open the vts file that is the main movie, mine was vts_01_0.ifo and then double click VTS_PGCITI and click on VTS_PCG_1. then at address 0000000c - 0000001a the audio streams are listed. I just swapped the numbers in audio stream 1 and audio stream 2, since stream 1 was the 5.1 stream and stream 2 was the DTS stream. And that seemed to work, since stream 1 was default and now stream one will start playing uses the DTS tracks stream.

Hopefully that wasnt too confusing.

That does also srcew up the menu so that if you make selections they will be backwards but that can probably be fixed pretty easily by editing the menu pointers, I just havent looked into that yet.
