I need someone to tell if this is right and how anyone would no. I have my Satelite reciever hooked to my Ilo recorder. (DVDR04). When you go to scan channels the ilo does not pick any up. I dont think you could ever do this even with a vcr. When hooking to a satelite you always have to change channels via the satelite box?
Anyway when I first hooked this unit up I remember turning the dvd recorder to channel 3 but still there was no picture. The scan didnt pick anything up. I think the scan is just for like outdoor antennas,ect.
Anyway by some freak chance I went ahead and put a dvd in to record. Went to record then Speed then up popped a box that showed channell. By changing it to channell 3 there I was able to get a satellite feed. How in the heck would anyone ever figure that out? unless by accident as I did.
You couldnt even go into set up and manually enter channel 3. Only by the way I described did it work.
If any out there has any ideas on this let me know cause I am curious.
