LG GSA 4081 won't burn DVD-R on my Laptop, but will burn on a PC?!?

This drive will burn +/-/-rw/+rw on my computer, but when I connect him on a laptop, it won't burn dvd-r?
It is an internal drive connected usb 2.0 via an external box.

Anyone has experience the same problem, or could help me figurre it out?
