I've had much success with backing up PS2 games using DVD Decrypter, burning with Nero, and using Swap Magic 3.3 with the console. However, I am having a fit trying to backup my PS1 games! I've tried copying them to HDD with CDRwin, patching them with PPF-O-Matic, burning (to CD) with Nero, and using the Swap Magic disc. I still get "not a valid PS2 disc" message on the console. Any suggestions?

Patching ps1 games? I have never had to do that with any of my ps1 backups. If I remember correctly, you need either breaker pro or action replay in order to boot your ps1 games on your ps2. Swap magic does not support ps1 games.
