the answers you need are all on afterdawn for non-uk versions of RE2 (not sure about irish version). However dvd decryptor forum has lightninguk (dvd decryptor author himself) posting solutions for uk version.

what i think you're missing is downloading the freebie vobblanker proggie. (well it worked for me 100%). all i did was download VOB blanker, point it at the res evil dvd, let it do whatever it wanted, ie a couple of mouse clicks, and it got on with it. this resulted in entire dvd being transferred to hard drive, then i used DVD Shrink as per normal to do its thing from there. Check out the dvd decryptor forum too it ya like

right, more info needed, what dya mean 'not go into shrink'.
if you're still getting the original error from when you raised this thread, i'm sure the answer for that specific problem is on the dvd decryptor forum. hang on i'll have a look. but you could be doing that too, nudge nudge :)

right, here ya go, lightning uk (the author of dvd decryptor started a thread on his own forum for this exact error you're getting. plus the answer -
http://forum.dvddecrypter.com/index.php?showtopic=18449&st=0
Quote: "This 'Fix' gets around the problem of them asking for VTS_01_5.VOB - which doesn't exist on the original!
===========
Ok, this isn't my problem, it's DVD Shrinks - and therefore Nero Recodes too as they're basically the same tool.
===========
Just rip the files as normal in File mode and then load up IFOEdit and open the VTS_01_0.IFO file in the folder DVD Decrypter just created.
Click on VTS_VOBU_ADMAP in the top section of the window - NOT the VTSM_VOBU_ADMAP one!
See the 'end byte of VTS_VOBU_ADMAP' entry at the top in the bottom section of the window - Yeah?
Ok, well change its value by subtracting 12 from it - just double click it to change it.
Then save the IFO and try to open the files again with shrink/recode. It should go through ok this time"
--- Now, i didn't have to do this even though i had the same problem, you can follow his instructions and it should sort you out. As i say, i didnt have to do any of that, VOB blanker worked for me, (i'm sure my replies are in the same thread)..If i recall there are other workarounds in that same thread..

you've hopefully done the hardest bit, ie getting most or all of dvd contents to hard drive, wierd, maybe you do need to just do the IFOEdit gumpf
good luck, cracking film, plus the 2 girls in film are fit :)

hi there guys!
DID YOU KNOW that DVD2One , the new version corrects ifo structure protection as its compressing
if it does what it says on the tin, then that is good news!
Also you could use AnyDVD running in the background and use DVD Shrink to rip / compress.....
Nothing here to see, move along folks.

rssbd - nice one.
rotary - AnyDVD didnt work for me, nor most of the variations of fixes for this or similar films. glad to see it can help sometimes, but def not in my case. just as layer cake wouldn't rip , even with v latest AnyDVD (4581 i think). For 'layer cake' (in my own case) it needed a psl file fix which no doubt lightning uk will incorporate into his dvd decryptor at some point. Not knocking AnyDVD as there was one single film it helped with, but there are always numerous workarounds for different people.
as for DVD2One, have used it, but only to join 2 films together, will keep in mind that it might be useful for other stuff.
