How much better GC reads backups when disk is burned at 1x speed instead of 2x speed? about.. is there a great difference? or just nothing?
I dont wanna burn for nothing a expensive DVD, 'cause i dont have much left them=)

I don't think there is much of a difference between 1x and 2x. 4x and 8x is where you start getting some errors though.

not necessarily, I've heard people saying their backups only work at 4x. I burned paper mario at 4x and no dre's. haven't tested any other games yet cuz I just installed my viper a few days ago.

i can only burn at 1x or 2x :( and i have 16x burner and discs are at least 8x
how to get faster?

Nero is smart and will only let you burn at a speed that wont hurt your discs, check what speed the disc is rated to...

Where i can see that where it is rated to? Disks are ritek G04(ridisc)

Quezacotl, if you have Nero, you can see what type of discs you have by clicking on the disc info button.

the same way I said. if you don't have Nero you can download a free trial. i'm sure there's other programs that'll do it, but i don't know what.

it's the damndest thing, I don't remember now how I did it in Nero cuz you're right, just pressing disc info doesn't do it.

download DvdInfo. google it. there's a free version, but it has ads but it's not adware; the ads are built in to the program. it's not spyware.

i got riteks and they work perfectly every ohm value between 100-400, not perfectly in higher resistance but works=)
