A seeder is someone that has 100% of the file and is sharing it out.

A Leecher is some one who has less than 100% of the file

Pretty much, you will want to have at least one seeder for the file you want to d/l. Just to make sure at least one person has it. The people who d/l are usually the leechers, but they also upload the pieces they have to others, so more d/l are good. High Seed amounts usually gives you the best d/l rates.

The more seeders the better. 1 just doesn't cut it. Also seeder to leecher ratio will have an effect on your DL speeds.
