I have just finished replaceing a MB and processor since the prievious processor burned. Smelly stuff. Anyway I started to test everything out and noticed a strange noise comes from the computer only when 3D stuff is running. I am not using the speakers, they are not even hooked up right now. You know the sound you hear when you accidently plug the floppy up and miss 1 pin. It kind of sounds like that. I havent been able to locate the exact source of the sound so maybee it is the VID card. Its the kids computer so if it fries then I guess I get another vid card.

Oh yeah its a Radeon 9600. Yes the fan is spinning. It is a couple years old as well. Let me know what you think. Wonder if it had anything to do with the first processor dieing.
