Ripping audio tracks from DVDs -- how to?

I would like to rip some music tracks off of some DVDs I own. I'd like to rip them to mp3 files or something similar. What software will handle this for me?

13. March 2005 @ 03:56 Run Xmpeg, once installed, open DVD and right click on video image. An option will be given to extract audio. You can select several output formats including MP3. Xmpeg is shareware, without fees or limitations.
