Having somewhat mastered torrents and reading stories of unnatural crackdowns on downloaders, I am getting a little itchy.

I have seen PeerGuardian on here, but to what extent does this protect you?

Is there something which will mask your IP address and ID, to servers and sites in general?

If so or if not, can you please tell me which you think is the best software of this kind and why?
